4 Arrests Made as 3 Rape and Blackmail Cases Rock Bhopal, Says DCP Sanjay Agarwal
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), India, April 28 (ANI): Regarding incidents of rape and blackmail involving college students in Bhopal , Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 2) Bhopal On Monday, Sanjay Agarwal stated that three distinct First Information Reports (FIRs) have been filed at various police stations.
From the seven individuals charged, four have been detained, one has passed away due to suicide, and searches continue for the remaining two who are not in Madhya Pradesh, according to officials.
In discussions with ANI, DCP Agarwal stated, “Three first information reports (FIRs) have been registered by three victims at different police stations. These complaints involve seven individuals as suspects across the three incidents; four of these suspects have been apprehended so far. Efforts are ongoing to locate the remaining two suspects who are not within Madhya Pradesh’s jurisdiction. It has come to light that one suspect took their own life under undisclosed circumstances.”
He added that individual Special Investigation Teams (SITs) have been set up to examine each case separately.
Different Special Investigation Teams (SITs) have been established in each of these three instances. All facets are under scrutiny... They would form groups consisting of economically disadvantaged girls whom they could control and exploit... The victims reported that the accused engaged in actions contrary to the Religious Freedom Act of Madhya Pradesh, leading to the application of relevant provisions from this act in their case.
As part of a different matter, DCP Agarwal addressed a distinct grievance involving an individual named Sahil, who was allegedly running dance academy in the city.
One of the individuals charged, Sahil, formerly operated a dance academy The females linked to the dance academy complained to the police, and as a result, we have registered an FIR against Sahil for harassment and molestation charges.
