President Taye Hosts AUC Chairperson in Productive Talks

The president likewise highlighted the significance of supporting the African Union’s main goals and initiatives, promoting robust cooperation as a host nation.

"I feel privileged to have met His Excellency President Taye Atse Tekle Gebru. This visit was made because I am now serving as the chairperson of the African Union Commission," he stated.
He remembered his prior professional interaction with President Taye when they both served as foreign ministers, emphasizing how they worked together on matters of bilateral and pan-African significance.
"I primarily came here to express my respects and tributes to him... The meeting was highly productive. I gained numerous insights from our discussion," Youssouf emphasized.
