Mach24 Orbitals Represents Nepal on Global Stage at Startup Mahakumbh 2025
Kathmandu, April 10 -- Mach24 Orbitals, a Nepalese private space technology firm, took part in Startup Mahakumbh 2025, which was conducted between April 3 and 5 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. This significant regional exhibition for start-ups included more than 3,000 start-up companies, around 1,000 investors, representatives from over 50 nations, and attracted upwards of 50,000 business attendees.
At the event, the Mach24 Orbitals squad showcased their downsized hybrid rocket prototype, discussing their latest technical achievements and highlighting how local partnerships play a crucial role in crafting affordable and feasible space-launch alternatives.
The Mach24 Orbitals pavilion was toured by Piyush Goyal, the Indian Minister of Industry and Supply, along with various state ministers, representatives from the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Center (IN-SPACE), and Nepal’s ambassador to India, Shankar Sharma. The primary focus of the startup centered on facilitating access to space technology for burgeoning small satellite industries across the Asia-Pacific area as well as for landlocked developing nations.
Mohan Tamang, founder and CEO of Mach24 Orbital, mentioned that the event acted as a platform for exchanging knowledge and fostering connections within the region. He emphasized that their startup strives to enhance the global space industry via localized innovations.
Mach24 Orbitals aims to launch Nepal’s inaugural privately developed orbital-class rocket by 2029 and is actively looking for collaborations to help achieve this objective.
