Kyushu Shaken: 6.0 Magnitude Quake Strikes Japan
Tokyo [Japan], April 2 (ANI): On Wednesday at 7:34 PM IST, an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0 on the Richter scale shook Japan’s Kyushu region, according to reports from the National Center for Seismology (NCS).
As per the NCS, the earthquake happened at a depth of 30 kilometers. The organization stated that the event was registered at coordinates Latitude 31.09 N andLongitude 131.47 E.
On a post on X, NCS stated, "Magnitude EQ: 6.0, Date & Time: February 4, 2025 at 19:34 IST, Latitude: 31.09 North, Longitude: 131.47 East, Depth: 30 km, Area: Kyushu, Japan."
No immediate reports of injuries or significant destruction emerged. More information is expected. (ANI)
