Hoi An to Phu Quoc: Discover Vietnam’s Top 10 Welcoming Getaways for 2025
Hoi An stands out as Vietnam’s most inviting city, with popular spots such as Ninh Binh and Ha Giang trailing close behind, based on the 2025 Traveller Review Awards from Booking.com.

The 13th yearly accolades from the Dutch firm rank the top 10 most inviting cities and the five most accommodating regions in Vietnam. They emphasize that with travelers increasingly looking for customized and authentic experiences, hospitality remains crucial in crafting unforgettable trips.
The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hoi An has retained its status for another year consecutively. Thanks to its historic architecture, illuminated lanes adorned with lanterns, and rich cultural blend, the destination keeps captivating those who visit.

4. Phong Nha Town

Ninh Binh, which serves as the provincial capital of Ninh Binh Province, secures the second position due to its striking limestone formations and rich cultural history. Ha Giang, located within Ha Giang Province, takes the third spot thanks to its rugged landscape and vibrant ethnic customs, appealing particularly to thrill-seekers. Additionally, Phong Nha’s renowned cave systems and the natural allure of Con Dao further cement their places among the leading destinations.
The remaining destinations, Cao Bang , Phu Quoc, Cat Ba , Sa Pa, and Ha Long emphasize the variety of Vietnam’s travel adventures, spanning from mountain retreats to beach havens.
Booking.com also recognized Vietnam’s five most hospitable provinces: Kien Giang (the home of Phu Quoc), Ninh Binh Province, Quang Nam Province, Ha Giang Province, and Lao Cai Province (known for Sa Pa).
Kien Giang, making its first appearance on the international scene, also places ninth globally in the Most Welcoming Destinations category.
At the award ceremony conducted in Phu Quoc on April 17, Varun Grover, who leads Booking.com’s operations in Vietnam, mentioned that these rankings were derived from more than 360 million traveler evaluations collected worldwide.
In order to qualify, locations were required to sustain an average rating higher than eight along with fulfilling extra requirements like handling substantial numbers of customers, having robust service facilities, and achieving a significant proportion of favorable visitor feedback.
