Abiwumi Owoade, the spouse of the Alaafin of Oyo, has urged the government to provide more opportunities for women, especially those living in rural regions. She also affirmed her family’s complete backing for such endeavors aimed at empowering females.

However, Owoade advised women to remain composed when provoked, cautioning that hasty remarks might lead to long-lasting repercussions.

"Despite being the one who pays all the bills, reign in your temper. You can’t undermine your home life and then think it will easily recover," she warned.

She urged governments at every level to generate additional opportunities for empowering women, especially in remote regions, via promotional activities and new policies.
