Haridwar (Uttarakhand) [India], March 17 (ANI): Yuva Yoddhas , Jaipur Pink Cubs , and Warriorz K.C . emerged victorious in their individual matches on Day 12 of the Yuva All-Stars Championship In Haridwar on Monday, Palani Tukers and Kurukshetra Warriors ignited a fierce competition when they confronted one another, intensifying their rivalry, as stated in the source. In the first match, Yuva Yoddhas beat the Vasco Vipers with a score of 37-29. In the first half, the team amassed 22 points, highlighted by an All Out maneuver that gave them a commanding 22-11 advantage. The Vipers staged a impressive comeback in the second half thanks to a Super Tackle and another All Out move. Nonetheless, these achievements were insufficient to surpass the opponent, resulting in a narrow loss by just eight points.
Atop the Pool B rankings, the Yoddhas have taken over from Yuva Mumba with 33 points. In contrast, the Vipers find themselves at the foot of Pool A, having accumulated just eight points after nine matches. The standout performer for the Yoddhas was Shivam Singh, who contributed significantly with 13 raid points, comprising 11 touches and two bonuses.
In the second match, Warriorz K.C beat the UP Falcons 38-28. The Falcons started strong, scoring initial points and executing an All Out against their opponents. Heading into halftime, they led 18-13. Punit Kumar’s spectacular raid contributed significantly to their victory. The team from Bengal performed exceptionally well in the latter part of the game, accumulating an additional 25 points to their score. They secured a convincing win by 10 points and have advanced to the second spot in Group A. Currently, the Falcons hold the fourth position in Group A with 26 points. Notably, 18-year-old Punit Kumar stood out as the leading player, amassing 13 successful raid points.
Later in the day, Kurukshetra Warriors and Palani Tuskers played out a thrilling 38-38 tie. The Warriors took a 4-0 lead following a Super Raid in the first raid of the match. Palani Tuskers levelled the game with two Super Tackles, but the Kurukshetra inflicted an All Out to take a four-point lead, the Yuva All-Stars Championship press release added.
Following a tightly contested opening period, the teams headed to halftime with the score tied at 16-16. The Tuskers managed a four-point advantage after securing an All Out against the Warriors, yet the opposing team responded strongly by orchestrating an All Out of their own. Later, Palani Tuskers executed another All Out on Kurukshetra, reclaiming the lead which they maintained for about five minutes.
Despite taking a two-point advantage, The Warriors had their hopes dashed as Palani Tuskers executed two crucial raids near the end of the game, resulting in a tie. This outcome places Palani at third position in Pool A, whereas The Warriors find themselves at the bottom of Pool B. Sachin Jagbir 's 13 raid points were the highlight of the action-packed contest on Monday.
Jaipur Pink Cubs defeated Junior Steelers 36-27 in a Pool A encounter. An evenly-contested first half ended 17-15 in favour of the Pink Cubs, but the Steelers levelled the scores 18-18 in the early moments of the second half. The Jaipur-based club bagged eight points in a row before conceding a point to Haryana. They held onto their lead tightly and won the match by nine points.
Parvinder was shown the green card twice but was the top performer with 15 raid points. Jaipur Pink Cubs They have maintained their position at the top of the Pool A rankings with 39 points. The Junior Steelers have dropped to fifth place, accumulating 18 points over eight games.
