US Tariffs Set to Rise Globally: An International Update

As reported by CNN quoting US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the United States could start one-on-one talks with specific nations to create fresh trade deals. Nevertheless, these discussions will commence solely following the enforcement of US tariffs on key trading allies.

He observed that the Trump administration would set up a fresh state of affairs, following which the U.S. could enter negotiations provided other nations were open to doing so.

We will apply retaliatory tariffs on all nations in proportion to what they levy on us – these measures aren’t targeted at Canada, nor Mexico, nor the European Union; they affect every country. Rubio said.

Furthermore, as stated by the Secretary of State, the United States could participate in bilateral trade talks that hold significance for all involved parties.

From this foundation of fairness and mutual benefit, we could ultimately enter into two-way negotiations with nations worldwide to establish trade agreements that are advantageous for all involved. he concluded.
