From Cut Finger to Game-Winning Style: Delhi Capitals Coach Praises Ashutosh Sharma

New Delhi [India] March 25 (ANI): Ashutosh Sharma, playing with a cut on his finger, delivered a stellar performance, scoring crucial 66 runs for Delhi Capitals in the fourth match of Indian Premier League 2025 against Lucknow Supr Giants. The team coach lauded his "desire to play" and his performance.

I wanted to highlight that... He had a cut on his finger which might have caused him to miss the game. Two days before the match, during our conversation when he mentioned having that injury, I questioned whether he felt ready to play. His response was clear: ‘I’m going to be in the middle for this game.’ It’s admirable just hearing him talk about wanting to be part of the action and showing such determination. However, actually stepping into the batting position and performing as impressively as hitting 15 from 15 initially and then progressing to 61 from 31 towards the end of the game truly showcases his skill. Well done,” commented Delhi Capitals’ coach Hemang Badani in an interview featured on their social media platform.
